An Addison-based company is headed to Plano with a new headquarters lease.

Digital Matrix Systems is moving its head office to the Preston Park Towers on Preston Park Boulevard. The international risk management firm has leased 22,500 square feet in the west building of the two-tower complex.

The company picked the Plano office campus after quizzing its employees about the best location. With the Plano location, 80% of Digital Matrix Systems’ workers will have a shorter commute.

“There’s a ton of energy and excitement right now among our employees,” Jeff Miller, chief financial officer of Digital Matrix Systems, said in a statement. “We’re all thrilled about the new space, and everyone feels like their voice was heard.

“As recruiting tech talent becomes a more competitive process, we’re incredibly proud that we have an average employee tenure of nine years,” he said. “This first-class space puts us in a prime location to continue to hire and retain top-tier talent in North Texas.”

Architect Perkins and Will will design the new office, which will open at the end of 2020.

Mike Cleary, Mike Kay and Campbell Puckett of CBRE negotiated the lease with Campbell Henry and Chris Axley of Lincoln Property Co.

The building is owned by TerraCap.
