Neal Communities has begun clearing land for its newest community in Lee County—Oaks of Estero—located in Estero off Block Lane west of River Ranch Road and just steps from Estero Community Park. Oaks of Estero was born from a cooperative joint venture effort with Bonita-based TerraCap, the land owner.

Oaks of Estero will feature 23 single-family homes ranging in size from 2,266 to 3,346 square feet of living area on a 10-plus-acre site. Neal plans to grand open a new model in the fall of 2015.

Neal Communities has taken great care to preserve specimen oak trees on the Oaks of Estero site and went through the process months ago to begin root pruning 67 oak trees. The company is now relocating these trees—a mixture of Laurel Oaks and Live Oaks—to other areas within the community. The relocated trees range from 20 feet to 30 feet tall, some with over 30-foot canopies. These relocated oaks are being strategically placed along Block Lane, the two entrances to Oaks of Estero and other locations within the community.

“These oaks give the community a very private and secluded feel, while residents still have the benefit of being located to everything in Estero,” said Dan Ciesielski, Land Development Manager for Neal Communities South Region covering Lee and Collier counties.

Site work including installing water, sewer, irrigation and drainage service, and curbing will begin in early May. Roads will be constructed in June, and all site work is expected to wrap up by mid summer. Residential construction is planned to begin sometime between April and June. Neal Communities also will build a sidewalk from the community to Estero Community Park so residents will have easy access to the park and its amenities.

Oaks of Estero will be a gated, coastal-themed community with 60-foot-wide single-family homes with three-car garages and a location either on the center lake or with landscape view.

“This is a beautiful location, and will be a very peaceful, quiet community as it is situated at the north side of Block Lane adjacent to the park,” said Ciesielski.

Estero Community Park includes playgrounds, volleyball, a Frisbee golf course, dog park, shuffleboard, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, a recreation center with gymnasium, game room, and a fitness center and programs for members. There are also two historic Estero Structures on display.
